WHY BECOME A GRI?

The Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation indicates to buyers, sellers, and industry professionals that you have committed to providing a high level of professional service to your clients by securing a strong educational foundation in Nebraska real estate.  Nebraska REALTORS® who’ve earned their GRIs earn twice as much as non-designees. By earning the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute Designation (GRI), you will lead the pack with real-world knowledge about new real estate technologies, laws, and marketing techniques that positively affect your bottom line.

Not only do GRIs have a leg up on agents without the designation, but the time required to earn your GRI demonstrates your level of commitment to yourself, your clients, and the industry.  It’s a true win-win-win proposition.

How is the GRI different?

Unlike most NAR designations, the GRI is managed independently by each state association of REALTORS®, with slightly different course requirements. This provides an optimal blend of state-specific content along with national perspectives. Also, GRI designees do not pay any annual dues to maintain their designation.

How Do I Earn My GRI?

You must complete all of the 6 GRI classes. Classes may be completed in any order.  Each class is two days long and to receive credit for GRI designation, students must attend the entire course. You have 5 years from the date of your first class to complete the designation. Once you finish all six classes, you pay a one-time $20 designation fee, and you will then receive the designation.
