Political Affairs
The Nebraska REALTORS® Association has a tremendous commitment to being informed and involved in all legislative and legal concerns that directly affect homeowners, property rights and the real estate industry. NRA Staff, NRA Leadership Team, Governmental Affairs Committee, and RPAC Trustees have an excellent track record of keeping Nebraska Realtors® as an important voice at both the state and federal level.
Thanks to all that have volunteered their time to serve in these capacities over the years. If you wish to get involved please contact your local board Association Executive, or email our Governmental Affairs Director, Adam Schwend with questions.
Our Advocacy efforts represent the Nebraska REALTOR® Party. We are the voice for real estate in Nebraska, working to protect REALTORS®, their business and the American Dream of home ownership. When legislation is proposed that will have an impact on the real estate industry, we are there to speak for you, the REALTOR®. Our goal is to encourage home ownership values, support small business and foster a vibrant real estate sector. Help support the REALTOR® Party.
Act.
Take Action with your REALTOR® Party.
REALTORS® are strongest when they speak with one voice. If REALTORS® don’t get involved and help shape the discussion, someone else will. No one knows a community better than a REALTOR®. You know the lay of the land, the schools, the neighborhoods and the leaders. That puts us on the front line as defenders of real estate issues. Here’s what you can do:
- Be informed about issues in your community.
- Vote in every election for REALTOR® Party candidates.
- Respond to Call for Action emails at the local, state and federal levels.
- Communicate with your elected officials and make your voice heard.
- Attend the Missouri REALTORS® Annual Capitol Conference.
- Invest in REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC).
Invest.
Invest in your Political Action Committee.
RPAC is the backbone of the REALTOR® Party. RPAC enables REALTORS® to support candidates that support the issues that are important to our profession, livelihood, private property rights and property ownership. RPAC’s mission is to identify candidates for elected office on the local, state and national levels who will work with REALTORS® to promote and protect the American Dream of homeownership. RPAC is nonpartisan and supports both Democrats and Republicans. Candidates that receive support are not selected based on their political party affiliation or ideology, but solely on their support of real estate issues. Investing in RPAC is an investment in your business.
Make an impact.
Make an Impact on your Business.
Imagine what would happen to the real estate market in your community if MID was eliminated from the tax code? Or if your clients were unable to afford the property insurance they needed to qualify for a mortgage? This is what’s at stake. And this is why we need you to join our efforts. The time is now to come together and fight for the interests of homeowners and the real estate profession.
