About the Home Buyers Assistant Foundation
Our Mission: The Homebuyers Assistance Foundation is committed to supporting first-time homebuyers in Nebraska through My1stHome grants and offering crucial aid to individuals in communities affected by natural disasters.
Home Buyer EducationĀ
Home buyer education is an important step in producing an informed consumer, and home buyers who partake in home buyer education are better equipped to sustain home ownership and less likely to foreclose. The foundation helps to subsidize the costs of home buyer education through the Readiness Education Awareness Collaborative for Home buyers (REACH) program.
My1stHome Grants
The Home Buyer's Assistance Foundation awards $250 grants to qualified first time home buyers who have prepared themselves for home ownership by taking an approved home buyers education class, worked with a REALTORĀ®Ā and are purchasing a home of $230,000 or less.
