Fair Housing in Nebraska

Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, known as the Fair Housing Act, prohibits discrimination by direct providers of housing on the basis of race/color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, or disability.

The U.S. Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) enforces the Fair Housing Act and other civil rights laws. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) investigates individual cases of discrimination in housing.
